How can municipalities develop shared visions for their digital futures? How can they translate such visions into concrete projects? And what does it mean to take participation seriously in this context? – In order to address these and other questions, Sabine Meigel (Stadt Ulm) and Anja Ruess (SCALINGS) are hosting a joint workshop at the German IT Planning Council Fachkongress on 26 March 2020 in Halle (Saale), Germany. The aim is to explore practices of stakeholder engagement in German Smart City projects by encouraging an open discussion among practitioners. The workshop also includes a keynote that highlights both case-specific insights into Ulm’s smart city projects and broader observations from the SCALINGS set of cases.
